Hey, all, check the latest projected storm tracks on weather underground. Now only the purple track goes close to STJ, all the others veer quite a bit off to the west of the VI's. If this keeps up, it's good news, obviously. And it's QUITE a change from the 3PM projected paths, which as Anthony noted had all the models going over the top of STJ...

I was pleased by the most recent update, hopefully that storm stays away from our beloved STJ.

Looks like it will miss VI and PR south before turning making a turn north. Those of you on the SE coast of Florida or the Carolina's will eventually need to watch this one real closely too.

Unfortunately we are all too familiar with the drill...
But, as surfnh said, there's always a chance that it won't threaten land here, but send us some swells!

I can't see it either. It looks like no rain for Texas from Emily. I'm almost ready for a hurricane, to end this drought. Well not really a hurricane, but maybe a good storm.

Ah the risk of Caribbean travel in hurricane season. Done it many times so far so good. Last year in Sept was the closest we came from a vacation wipeout. Our trip was great. We threaded the needle between a hurricane the week earlier and monsoon rains right after we left. We have been blessed for the amount of risk we have taken over the years. But hey ya get great deals and beaches to yourselves. Good luck to all with upcoming hurricane season trips planned.

As glad as I am to see that it looks like STJ will be spared, I hate that Emily is now going to go through Haiti. How much more can those poor people handle?
Hopefully Emily will stay a Tropical Storm and not turn into a Hurricane.
