We're praying for each of the families involved. It is sickening that no one is safe anywhere these days. Listening to CNN as I type this, and everyone is wondering how in the world the second shooting could happen when there was like 2 hours in between??? what were the campus security DOING for that length of time?? they really dropped the ball on this one.

I heard the news when I came home today. My son is preparing to graduate NC State and has friends at VA Tech. When I watched the interview with the young man who, after being shot in the arm, helped to barricade the classroom door so the shooter wouldn't come back in, I just lost it. The world may have turned upside down, but at that moment there was this courageous young man who put his life on the line without thinking of himself. He said that the shooter came back down the hall and shot at their door to try and get back in again. Had he not done what he did, if could have been even worse.

Gods peace to everyone.

Jorge,

When we heard the news this AM - we couldn't believe that there was another event of this magnitude.

We can hear the pain in your voice and can only imagine what you and Barb and all of your community & family are feeling at this time.

Our hearts, prayers and thoughts are with you all now and, as part of your "extended family", please know that we wish we could be there, in person, to offer our condolences to you and your community.

Sincerely,
Sue & Jim
