When we first went to STJ it seemed like everybody pronounced it Caribe, but then about 3 or 4 years ago, in one of my favorite Coral Bay establishments, I was corrected by a server, and in a very snotty way,was told that it was pronounced Carib. The funny thing is, I have a West Indian friend from Grenada that works at our local beer store here in MD. He pronounces it Caribe.iturqsea wrote:Care-ib when ordering, without naming names there are those servers who will correct you if you say Caribe. So, because of this chastising we pronounce it Caribe at home!! !
