HOW did we never get to Gibney before??? Oh my gosh it's beautiful! It's Blaine's birthday so he picked the beach, and he did GOOD! Gibney's definitely staying in the rotation of favorite beaches :)
As we left, a car pulled up and asked "Is this the secluded beach?"
How do you answer that? LOL!
Tomorrow we go to our favorite place. I'd say I can't wait, but I don't want to wish away one moment of our blissful trip!

Gibney's in my top 3 for sure. Love it.

Say, maybe I'll hit Gibney tomorrow!!!!!!! Or the next day, or the next...

BTW, how was the car ferry?

THe car ferry was easy peasy! We met a couple of young guys who live on island and they told us what to do. Thanks Matt and Mike!
We started today with a beautiful rainbow, and then a rainbow in the water. Never saw that before, and hope it shows up in the pics when we get home!
Then we spent the day at my favorite place in the world! I was either eating or floating round watchin' stuff, all day. Blaine was into his new Koontz book and lounged all day. It was perfect :)
Tomorrow - who knows?
Oh, and we walked the trail to haul over north this morning, so now we know how to find it. We figured it's been so dry that there might not be a wet area to traverse, and we were right. There was a little tree to climb over, though. Anyway, thanks for the directions. I could do that walk in the morning when it's dry, anyway!

We had a condo gravity day today. I got kind of icky feeling, last night. Maybe I swallowed too much salt water, trying to teach myself to free dive yesterday at Vie's! We hung around the pool and read all day ("Room" by Emma Donoghue is a brilliant read!). Took a couple of newbies who don't have a jeep to Candie's for ribs, then shopped a bit at Ruth's and posed for some spice cam pics that my daughter agreed to take.
Can't wait to see US on the spice cam! That's going to be my screen saver forEVER. At least I can pretend I'm here, when I am no longer...
Little lameshur tomorrow :D

Minde!!!
Yous guys are as darling as you are groovy!
Loving your reports, thus far!
Unless I'm mistaken Gibney is the beach they all visited in that movie, "The Four Seasons", with Alan Alda & Carol Burnett.
Jammin' little joint, down that there hill; From one Koontz lover to another, tell Blaine he did Good in his choices!
Sorry you felt 'icky'... :( ...it happens to me too when down there, but it's usually due to my overimbibing of the rum-o...
All the same,-SO thrilled for you, have fun!
Smiles-
Jimmy & Amy

Blaine slept in today, so we got a late start. Picked up lunch at the new deli 3rd floor at the marketplace.WIN! Love it! Sandwiches were fantastic, service great, prices great,
And my gosh they've got wonderful tiramisu!
Tiramisu on Little Lamesur was a delight!
Snorkeling was awful. Visibility was awful. People said it was "chop." don't know what that means...
Early supper at Tourist Trap was delish!
Only 2 more days
But we're gonna make the most of them!

We moved up to unit 2 today, for the last 2 days of vacation. A new alarm system has been installed :D
We snorkeled Salomon/Honeymoon, which never fails to be a beautiful float! I was so excited that i walked into the water with my glasses on, pulled the mask on, with my glasses hanging underneath them! I couldnt see them of course. So Blaine was looking at me, cracking up! "Your glasses!" he said, "They're still on!" "Where?" "Your face!!!" Duh! !Then we hit up that wonderful deli at the marketplace for sandwiches and tiramisu, and took them to Francis, where we spent the afternoon. Sigh...no luck finding the Eagle ray. It was just another perfect, sunny day in paradise! There are gajillions of conch at Francis! I kept a close eye out for an octopus, but no luck there, either.
We cruised through Maho real slow, to check the noise level for Jimmy. It's fine, Jimmy. No worries, mon :D
One thing about the new parking lot at Maho...why did they put the entrance right at that sharp curve? A lot of my job is risk management, and I predict someone's going to be hit at that entrance. They need to put several speed bumps and more signage up, pronto!

Spent our last day at my favorite beach, Miss Vie's. Got to see Jasmine who is working at the bank now, so she's only at the snack shack on Saturday. Snorkeling was uneventful, which, with my history at Vie's, is a mixed blessing!
Walk of woe tomorrow morning :(

Minde-

We are leaving tomorrow also :(
The lady at the car rental place mentioned that Sunday starts Carnival and there will be events going on in the harbor on STT and to leave extra time to get to the airport. How much time are you planning on leaving? Have mixed feelings about missing our plane

...and we were never in coral bay around drink time  sorry we missed you, but maybe we'll see you at the airport! You'll know us by our sad faces!
Thanks for the heads up on carnival! We are planning on the 9:00 car ferry, so we have time to find the car wash on STT and vacuum all the sand out of the jeep.
I wish there was a way to bottle the sand that gets sucked out! It's from our favorite place on earth and would do more good in a bottle on my desk than it would in the bin of a vacuum!
