Oh gosh, I'm not experienced in this enough to help at ALL, but I sure hope you get it figured out. It'll be a hell of a story when you do, and I believe that you will.

Have you checked flights out of Ft Lauderdale? Im not sure if you were driving to Mia..but as you are probably aware, its not that far from Mia. Im not sure how you feel about Spirit but they have seats available...614.00pp Round trip, Might be a last option..esp if AA is going to refund you..There are other flights available on Delta going thru Atlanta and then on o SJU..but even those are 1100+ PP. If I were this close to going..heck I would ride on the wing to get there...I felt the same way last yr when we had to cancel due to the strike....I hope you get it worked out...Godd Luck !!!!!

Spirit has space on a flight tomorrow from FLL--I only looked for one ticket one way--but they might have more--it ain't cheap but gets you in by about 3-ish?

We were there in Dec. and had problems getting our luggage because of Cape Air from San Juan. We thought we were going to be stuck as well. Fortunately the car ferry from Red Hook runs untill 10pm so you should be fine.

Just to clarify for folks that may be reading this, the car barge does NOT run until 10pm. The Red Hook Passenger ferry runs until midnight, but the car ferry does not run past 7pm

We successfully checked in and printed our boarding passes through Miami to STT on American for tomorrow so it looks like they are clearing up the situation - we'll keep our fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong. We leave out of MIA at 11:10 am. I hope you were able to get flights out as well.

I just called AA, and we were at least able to change tomorrow's flight to the 11:10 nonstop (the one paulandtracie are on), so the race to get to the car barge before the last one has been canceled!
