I am working tonight and can't make it to the Beach Bar at 4 - I will remember the .mekka heiny ho. though and continue to go there as usual and will now listen up while I am enjoying a cold Heineken - now that I can ride the ferry for $1.50 with my VI Senior Card I am down by that dock more often.
I am still trying to find a good bar that gives that kind of 75% Senior discount on cocktails!
Thanks Ruth! If Inner Vision wrote a fowl dance song it would probably win the Road March this year

I HAVE a chicken hat I wear the first day of school while making my students do the chicken dance as a loosen up/getting to know you activity! I could teach the dance at Beach Bar gatherings!

Ruth your club sounds great and I would love to be part of it. I so wish I could make it to the meeting today but I believe I have already missed any flight that could get me there in time. I will be down in June so hopefully there will be another meeting that I could attend. Out of the kindness of my heart to other club members I would recommend that ya don't make me sing till closing time, it will surely make last call that much quicker. Hey have you ever worn your killer chicken shirt? Looking forward to seeing you and other VIOL fun club members in June. Have a blast today!

I want in, too. I can and will do all that stuff. And, by the way, if you are going to talk about a chicken shirt, better be sure you know where the "r" key is on the key board...

From msgcolleen: I vote Ruth for CLUB (Cool-Lovely-Unique-Beautiful) Island President with my proxy vote~ Very Happy

I have the white sunglasses as well. I don't think anyone wants to see me do the chicken dance. Ruth's club is the one for me even though I've never been much of a joiner. Thanks Ruth

I am a chicken dance veteran. I am part German. My grandfather was actually a German immigrant. He flew the Burma hump for the USA in WW2, and he taught us the chicken dance. It is (was?) apparently a huge thing for the Germans of a certain age in his adopted community. I have been to huge German family gatherings where this dance is the highlight. Every (stateside) Oktoberfest I have been to features the chicken dance. Over and over. I have pictures of my whole family doing this wacky dance. I'm not sharing them here.
Hope the Beach Bar is rocking with chicken dances as I post!

#1 - The first rule of VIOL Club is, you do not talk about VIOL Club.
