Another great report - thanks - we are hoping there is a big storm in the Northeast on the day of our departure and that we get "stranded" on island - how cool would that be!

"10 days is not long enough." I share your sentiment... as many of us here probably do. Thank you so much for your great reports with amazing photos.

"Next time" will come soon enough!

Good stuff. Is there any spot on island that you haven't snorkeled?

As usual, great stuff. Thanks for taking the time to share.
I assume you must be very pleased with the Canon D10 - very impressive results in your hands.

I don't read many T/R from STJ any more, but if it's from Liamsaunt I just have to read it.

And I can as usual only repeat the laudatory words, which already is told here.

Thank you.

Linward, the photos are a mix of ones taken from the surface and diving down, it depends on the depth. I don't wear a weight belt, but maybe I should. John is better at hanging neutrally underwater than I am, and because of that sometimes he gets a more interesting angle than I do. I should also mention that the underwater photos in my reports are taken by both me and John.

joppa, too bad! I always like to meet forum people. Did you go to the beach bar on Sunday? I totaly forgot about it.

jmq, actually, I am not totally thrilled with the D10. I like that it is so easy to use, but the pictures don't seem as crisp as the ones I took with my old setup.

jaysedee, there is so much of the island I have yet to snorkel! That's what keeps me coming back. :D

Thanks again for the nice words everyone.

Well, even if they don’t stand up to scrutiny when you are working with them full screen or in other formats, they sure look really good here. I suppose compromises are inevitable with easier to use photo gear.

I thought we were the only ones not happy with our D10, but obviously not. I do agree with you. Pictures are not as good or crispy as I expect. Even with the best conditions pictures get blurry. The camera is very easy to use, but that's it. I think my husband will buy a different camera soon. He is very jealous of my G11.

i still think you managed to get some good pictures Becky.

Becky,

Great report (as always) - thank you!

Your hair longer looks very nice.

Also, I think it's funny that LaTapa charged $69 for their fixed price dinner on Valentine's day :)

Oh my gosh!! I totally did not clue in to that at the time. HAHAHAHA!

Now that I think of it, the three couses were labelled "foreplay," "(inter)course," and hmmm...I forget the exact wording of the dessert course. I guess I am overly focused on food and only food when dining out!

Maggy, your pictures with the G11 were great. I am definitely looking into that camera as a replacement for the D10.
