On Dating in the USVI:

You don't break up, you just lose your turn.

A first time snorkeler came out of the water at Saltpond, almost running on top of the water, cartoon like, screaming with terror,"I just saw the biggest sea crab!"
Yeah, well, too bad he didn't take a little more time to enjoy the big turtle,eh?

The same lady bartender from my earlier post, when talking about the possibility of getting married in Coral Bay, looked up and down the bar at the dregs sipping their drinks and said,"Married? Well, the odds are good, but the goods are odd."

I'm waiting for the inevitable complaint of a) how the beach is so far away and b) why its so narrow.

My sister last went away with her husbands family to a villa at half moon bay in Jamaica, replete with butler and cook on call. They are in for a rude awakening, me thinks. But perhaps I'm too pessimistic.
Oh my, you must do a trip report.

We had newbies along last year and towards the end of the trip, we asked them what they thought of STJ. They replied they liked it but didn't realize there would be so much driving and why couldn't we have just rented a house on the beach? :) (They were used to Outer Banks trips where they would rent a huge beach house 25 yards from the beach)

We are on Anugilla right now and the behavior I witnessed yesterday was un-f-ing-believable! I will do a trip report.

Late night near the BB bathroom. Typical Hollywood just hanging out with his guitar. Police Officer walks by and ask "Hollywood, what you up to?" Hollywood responds with a big smile "crime fighting."

The very next day Hollywood was seen floating face down in Cruz Bay to the dismay of unkowing tourist.

.....and the next day, and the next day, and the next day

It is too much to type out on the druid but the short version is an couple ranting and raving at the one resort that their table didn't provide enough of a view. (All tables were on a cliff) the wife waved the menu around and her shoeless husband ran back and forth yelling about panoramas. There was a total of four tables at lunch in a place that sat a least 100 so they certainly had their choice of tables.

Ok, maybe not nearly as funny as some of the things others have heard, but-
A few years back we visited STJ with a newbie couple. The wife in the other duo was standing outside looking, for a while, at a bright yellow & green metal/wire type gecko ornament that was one of the decorations. I asked her if everything was alright, and she said," I was just trying to figure out if that was a real chameleon..."
I said, " If it was a real chameleon, you probably couldn't see it."
Now, I'm no nature guru, by any means, but that kind of gave us both a chuckle...
Smiles-

Let me go ahead and give everyone a head's up...there will be four women from Mississippi on STJ for the first time in June. Keep your ears open, I'm sure you'll be in for a treat.

This will be the first trip to the Caribbean for three of them so it will be interesting...
