I'm with everyone who has voted for Rhumblines & Zo-Zo's.Both are deelish, with great ambiance.
I've heard about that Monday night special that Vicki brought up, and would like to try & make a point of giving it a whirl this upcoming trip.
I only had the chicken nachos at the beach bar at Caneel, and they were rockin'!
Good luck, happy birthday, and always-
Smiles-

La Tapa--consistently, amazingly great food (I've probably eaten there more than 20 times over the years; it's always the 'must go to at least once' place when we're in St. John--even if we eat in the rest of the nights).

Also very good is Waterfront Bistro--it has better ambience and also great food but I think La Tapa's food is just a tiny cut above in imagination and creativity that combines tastes that work sublimely together--kind of like the #1 and #2 of Top Chef. You can't go wrong with either.

My vote goes to La Plancha del Mar. It is run by three guys that do everything, and they do it well! It is located on the second floor of the building that the Starfish Market is in. It was the best meal I have had on SJX.
Go there for great food and service, there is no view.

La plancha del mar hands down the best. Been dreaming about their Hibiscus martini all year.
