My husband was at a meeting after work today, so I ended up shoveling our long, steep driveway (don't know how to operate the snowblower), so I'm up for a girls' trip to STJ! Designer martinis and all...

My wife has a sheet of paper with snowthrower operating instructions hanging on the garage wall for just those occasions!

Savvy .... my husband is in Florida on business and I am not allowed to touch his snowblower (it belonged to his dead father and is very tempermental/sentimental).

Happy to add KY Girl, Savvy and SuzyQ to the list! Can we really do this, can this trip happen? Or is it my wishful/get me back to St John addiction? I was looking at big villas today, with off season prices and it could be a great deal, split 7 or 8 ways! 8)

I love ladies trips to STJ. One of my best nights on island was the night I met some USAir flight attendants on island for a long weekend. It was quite a night! My favorite part was when they started giving belly dancing lessons on the patio at Woody's. Traffic was tied up for a while.

Hey, I get it. Jorge is behind this. That MILF strip club idea is back in play. I like it!

Cheers, RickG

I am always on go so I will be there for the girls trip!!!!
I just love you Mary Beth and your creations- I can't wait to try the drink. I have some jumbie too but my hubbie is a coffee snob and doesn't like me to put the beans in his smancy coffee maker- he says it gums it up and it doesn't work right???? I'm not a big coffee drinker but love the foo foo kind!

We have a separate grinder and I have no problem with these beans. They are a little messier than others but that's all. I'm not one for foo foo coffee but I find this one subtle enough to pass my taste buds ;)

See you some where for cocktails in November?

I am totally serious about a girl's trip! I told my husband and he just laughed. He doesn't think I'm serious. If he won't go with me I have to find a way...
I'll start the secret $$ stash now.

I told Chip that I wanted to take a girls trip to STJ with the girls from the forum.

He laughed at me and said that there was no way I was taking a tropical vacation without him. He said that he would not be able to function at home knowing that I was on the beach drinking rum drinks while he was going to work and cleaning the house.

I asked him if he had a problem with me going on vacation with women I had never met. He said, go on a trip with anyone you want. But there is no way that you are going to STJ without me. It just isn't fair.

Anyone up for Vegas?

OK, OK, I'll watch out for you girls - I guess I'll have to put on my "serious" non party hat on :( Oh wait........I don't have one of those :) :)

Sounds like a "girls" trip maybe in the making :)

Marybeth ... sorry to hijack your topic, I have taken it to a new post. We have something else in common a love for Maine too, where do you rent in the summer?

Jorge, Rick and Waterguy... You 3 are too funny, do I see a boys week in your future?

Sorry XIsland Girl all my disposable income goes to St John

Jorge the reason I asked Pia to hang with us is because I remember the stripper punch!

Waterguy ... one of the houses I found has a hammock outside :P

no prob! you can have my thread any time you want it! LOL

We have been going to a lake in Maine my while life and in fact so has my Mother. She first went there when she was 1 year old and she's 83 now :)
The lake is called Mousam Lake and funny thing, Lysa C from this board, her parents live there! Small world!
The largest town near by is Sanford.

Also my sister bought a place last year in Wells.
LOVE it up there... can't wait to get back. Our first trip up this year is set for June 15 - if I can wait that long :)
