And I told finding a trail of worn panties (they were rolled like women's panties get when pushed down the legs) in the Philly Airport Marriott was odd.

Wow.
I have to say that the thing that struck me is that you mentioned you had another "incident" at this hotel! I am almost afraid to ask for the details of the hairball story.
My advice to you: find another hotel for future trips!!

Yes, a trail. And yes, definately worn.
We had an early flight and somehow my husband gets the shuttle driver to come up to our room and help us with the luggage. (We were travelling with an infant.)
So there we were at 4:30 in the morning, me, husband, baby, my mom, our two friends and the shuttle driver walking down the hall.
No one says anything about the first pair.
Chuckles started at the second pair.
By the third pair my mom couldn't stand it any more and makes a comment like "I guess they had a good time last night."
The shuttle guy kicked the fourth pair aside and then all h_ll broke loose and we completely lost it.
The group theory was that there must have been a college formal or similar party the night before as the undies were the type younger women wear - small, sexy, scraps of fabric and lace - fancy panties, not everyday panties.
