yes, read the book. it will explain how you can look at your back differently and eventually can get rid of the annoying pain.

I just had to bump this up. Because of the persistance of Teresa_Rae, I have found a Dr. that has changed my life. I hate to say that with only 2 weeks of treatment behind me, but I am able to work in the yard, have energy to enjoy my life, and I don't have to live on drugs and heat wraps. I have had chronic back, neck, and shoulder pain, (even hip), for over 20 years. Lately it has been just terrible. I have buldging discs, bone spurs, scoliosis, and more things I won't bore you with. Because of Teresa_ Rae's encouragement, I found a NUCCA Dr. It stand for Nat. Upper Cerical Chiropractic Assoc. I've been seeing a chiro for 20 years and have still lived with this pain. I have had 4 treatments, which involves no popping or pain, and I feel like a new person. It is non invasive, painless, very affordable, so if you are having any kind of back pain, please look into NUCCA and see if there is a Dr. in your area. There is only ONE office in the entire metro Houston area, so there aren't too many, but I'd drive a 100 miles to see a Dr. who can make me feel this good. I was a total sceptic, but I figured what do I have to loose.... it's not surgery, so what can it hurt. Anyway, I don't mean to preach, but this is the real deal and not some New Age weird science. You can google it and find all sorts of info. They even treat sciatica and herniated discs.

I was looking into info about NUCCA. Very interesting. The closest Dr to me is about 3 hours away. I'm going to read more about it. It could be worth the long agonizing car ride. Thanks for the info.

Has anyone else had experience with this treatment?

Yeah Cid, 3 hrs. is a LONG car ride, especially with back pain. But I can tell you I'd do it in a second, to get this kind of help. Maybe not twice a week, like I'm doing, but once for sure.

Maybe that's why I feel so much better on STJ....I'm floating a lot and my head and neck have much less stress. Just a guess.......I'm not a Dr.

I've already figured that I will need the aisle seat so I can get up during the flight and reposition etc...

I'm glad I went para-sailing on our honeymoon, because that was a pretty choppy speed boat ride. My question is...Will I be able to do that new zip line safely?
Heheheheeee....
Cid-
Bring one of those $20.00 headrest pillows for the flight, then keep it available while you go to Maho with your beachchairs to relax.
Do yourself a favor, and take a nap, unless you just decide to get a floatation device while you lay on top of the water at Maho Bay.
Let the sun beat down on you, relax the shoulders, and lay there.
Make sure someone is watching you, as you might drift out a bit!

I know about back problems. I just had a anterior and posterior spinal fusion on January 8th. Basically went throught the front then flipped me over to go through the back. Removed the disc and inserted screws and rods. Still kind of excited to go through security at the airport to see what happens :D .Still in my back brace. Hopefully I get it off tomorrow when I visit the doctor.

Actually just decided yesterday based on what he says that we are going to come down next month. Money isn't the greatest right now but we both need a break.

I also have a bad back with a few surgeries. Back is wired right now.

I find if you take 2 noodles, put them between your legs that it takes an enormous amount of pressure on your back.

When we fish in Sanibel, it's the only thing that works for me because I can't stand that long.

Good luck!

Thanks for the advice Jim. I'd love nothing more than to give my back the "Maho" treatment. Can I get a prescription for that? Heheheeeee....

It's amazing how many people suffer with back problems. I'm anxious to see how my NUCCA adjustments hold on my flight to STJ. Of course I'd ride in a dog kennel to get to STJ. But after working 3 hours in the yard yesterday, I feel great.

I'm not that nice. Just ask my kids. I'm Natzi Mom.
