Obviously, the more altruistic suggestions like the ones made here would be nice and much preferred plus I assume your engineers have considered and rejected the idea of making a temporary modification to the slicing equipment.
However, if that didn’t work out, would you consider selling to one of your competitors or frozen pizza makers or one of the big pizza retail chains?
Here’s a real long shot suggestion of that type: until recently one of our big accounts was McCain Foods (no not the Senator – they are based in Canada and are big in the potato business) and they had frozen pizza making plants in different parts of the US. They make the Ellio’s frozen pizza brand. They do have a plant in Illinois – don’t know if it makes pizza – but their corp office is also located in Lisle, IL. But they probably have very specific size specs for their equipment too…
Hey Just and FYI, McCain is a New Brunswick company! We rednecks have a few claims to fame. Ever heard of Ganong Chocolates,Sabian Cymbals, or even a little company named "Irving".....YUP all NB companies.

Sorry it's a slow snow day here today!

So has anything happened to the Pepperoni??????

It's funny the things you miss most about home when you move away - some days I would kill for a McCain's frozen pizza!!! Those small ones that came in packs of 6? They probably don't even make them anymore... but boy do I get cravings!

But back to topic, I'm looking forward to hearing what happened to the pepperoni!

I'm sure they still make them, plus a million other ones. In high school, my brother lived on those ones that came in the 6 pack.

Porn industry??

Sorry... I'm a bit punchy today. I blame it on the diet Mountain Dew and Sour cream and onion pringles:

CaGirl --- Now I just told her that the doctor wasn't referring to packaging when he said eat more green stuff.

Maybe she's prepping for St. Patty's day.

Good news :D

Tom had PM'd me about a food pantry up in Wisconsin that wanted the pepperoni. Apparently they have trucks in the area regularly even though the pantry is over 200 miles from here. They're arranging for a truck to come pick it up and I should hear back by Monday morning :)

This just made my weekend!

That's wonderful! Must be a deal like Angel Food, where they have regional warehouses. I'm glad the meat could be put to good use.
