Anthony, that looks really good. Was the octopus tender? I've only had octopus once, at a sushi restaurant, and it was so rubbery I could barely eat it! I am thinking it was prepared incorrectly.
Here are last night's crab cakes. The sauce is a standard mustard preparation, but it's spiced up with a good amount of trinidad charlies hot sauce.

Liamsaunt- If I come to your neck of the woods, can I please come for dinner? I will pay- and I even do dishes!

Liamsaunt,
My mouth was watering when I saw those crab cakes and I just ate! You should be a photographer for cookbooks.
You are invited to join 6 on the Beach too...

Absolutely, LMG/OM, and you don't even have to do dishes...that's John's job.

I've had this question on my mind since the food porn thread started; How many people do you cook for?
Liamsaunt, your finished dinners are always so beautiful. Do you cook for more than two? There's always so much food. Do you cook this way every night?
Just looking for some background info. The inquiring mind wants to know.

Yes - very. We got it at Esselunga, which is like the Italian version of a ShopRite or Foodtown I guess (sorry folks, these are NJ references), so I wasn't sure how it was going to be (compared to one of the smaller fish mongers in town where I know the stuff is excellent). I boiled it for about 45 minutes, then let it sit in the water for another hour. It was almost too tender - not chewy at all. That advice came from both Nobu (in his cookbook) and an Italian friend.
Your crab cakes look awesome!

Thanks Anthony! they were tasty.
Silverheels, during the week I am usually cooking just for me and John. On the weekends though, I am cooking for a group. Depending on who's over, it's a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 people. I skimmed back through the photos I have posted here, and most of them are from the weekends. I do try and make nice food every night, and I take a picture every night too. However, I can't be turning the food porn thread into the "what liamsaunt cooked for dinner" thread, so I only post pictures when I make something that I might cook when I am on St. John.

You need your own show on the Food Network. Rachel Ray can't compare to you. We need to all come up with a great name for your show. You could be famous!!! I could be your rich agent.
