I finally got around to making ABTs (jalapeno halves stuffed, in this case with a mixture of cream cheese and pulled pork, and wrapped in bacon) and fatties (Jimmy Dean sausage logs, one "as is" and one stuffed with caramelized onions, minced garlic, thinly sliced green peppers, and mozzarella).

I cooked these on my WSM (Weber Smoky Mountain smoker).

These were our snacks for the afternoon:

Perpping the ABTs:

The ABTs, fatties, and a boneless, skinless turkey breast are ready for the grill:

Just on - cherry wood chunks providing the smoke:

Looks delicious, BUT, did you really have to show the grill sitting on green grass? :P

mbw - I have never heard of a fattie...do you buy them like that?

Nothingtolose - you asked about polenta...did you get help on that? Did you buy the polenta in a box? That is what I buy and I cook it as it says on the box. When it is done and before I throw it in the oven I usually add some sort of veggie like red peppers or sun dried tomatoes.

Tonight's dinner...Fettucini with Chicken and Baby Spinach. Fresh squeezed lemon juice and zest give it a nice tang. Lots of freshly grated parmesan cheese too.

Coden, I'm sure Augie will respond on the Fatties. I have no clue!

Here's some weekend photos:

And tonight was Baked Gnocchi from Giada's pasta cookbook which was a Christmas present from Charlie. Hmm, ulterior motive perhaps :!: :?:

None of you are helping my diet.

I did make an Eat and Lose Weight recipe, it was called Philly Cheesesteak casserole but tasted nothing like it. It was actually really good though and I served it with an iceberg wedge topped with crumbled feta and olives.
It was nothing to take a picture of, but I would make it again. Only 3 grams of fat per serving!

The fatty is just a breakfast sausage roll - the kind you usually slice and fry up - but when you cook it whole on a smoker it becomes a fatty!

Thanks for the reminder, X - I knew there was a resolution I was ignoring

I did stock up on Lean Cuisines, non-fat yogurt and lots of fruit and veggies.

Everyone's food is looking good! Here is some recent stuff from my kitchen:

sausage, white bean, tomato pasta:

Herb-roasted chicken (though I have to say that the cajun-injected one is my favorite now, thanks to nothintolose!):
