I told you to take me instead. When will you learn, girl?

Vicki - As always an excellent report! And there aren't enough adjectives to compliment your beautiful photos!

I found your "mystery" sea creature. It's a Sharptail Eel http://www.redorbit.com/images/gallery/ ... index.html and it sure is a purty thang!

Sorry your "friends" were a drag. I think I'd leave them home next time...even if it was just a trip to WalMart!

Also, thanks for the review of Ivan's cabins. Would it help any to take an inflatable air mattress for the bed?

Vicki,
Loved the report & pics. Your tolerance and good humor of your "friends" tells a lot about you! Kept that smile no matter what, of course I am sure the alcohol helped :)

great report and photos.

I am starting to get a little freaked out about the chickens. I am really afraid of them. I will take that water snake any day over the chickens. Just how bad are they? Are they on every beach or do you just see them now and then. I know being afraid of chickens is kind of strange, I can't help it, I have been like this all my life. If they keep their distance I will be fine. But how close they got to Vicki, really freaks me out. I would have been running away.

Don't worry, Nancy. Most of the time, the chickens keep their distance. You typically see them on Maho, not so much the other beaches. You should be fine as long as no one stuff Fritos down your bathing suit.

Seriously, though. Don't keep any food out and they'll hide in the woods.

Well at least you ddn't need the bucket for this trip :-) Did Teresa even buy anything from Vie after monopolizing one of her tables for three hours???

Thanks for another great report. I laughed out loud!

Thank you for putting my mind at ease about the chickens. No lunches on the beach for us. I will be fine if they keep a safe distance.

Have a Merry Christmas.

Thank you for the wonderful TR and pics. My first trip is next month (with husband only) and if we have half as much fun as you did, it will be fantastic!

Great report (as usual!).

I'm glad that you didn't totally omit the "quirks" of your traveling companions - although their presence had to be annoying to you, some of their "antics" make for entertaining reading!

And I hope you hurt Teresa's feelings badly enough that she won't do you the honor of sharing any trips to STJ with you in the future...

Vicki, great way to start my day; very funny stuff! Thanks for the sidenote on Ivan's, we've been considering it. Sounds like you did a good job "rolling" with the friends who didn't get it. No matter, you made the best of it and had a great time in spite of them. I still have to view your pics; I can't wait. Have a merry christmas! Ali~
