Linne - really nice decorations and of course they are similar to ours. Maybe you don't have the Advent stars in the windows like we have.
Maryanne - your house looks so charming and I like your decorations also.
I will take a few pictures as soon as I have the time. Have been in Copenhagen this week and in the weekend I "have to" go to my MIL, so I'll try and do it after that. Maybe I shall take a photo of her decorations, as she has small santas and other stuff all over the apartment

It's really too much.

No, Maggy. It's not a tradition to have stars in the windows. Some have. I have had a light ball the last two years, and it will probably come up again this year.
It could be funny to see pics from your MIL's house too. Have a nice weekend

Maryanne!
Sorry, I don't know the right word in English for a "light ball", but you can see it here.

Beautiful ! What is the source of the light?

Maryanne, I hope I have understand your question right:
The source is electricity. I put the ball up in a place, where I can hide the wire.
Perhaps I will take some more pics when I have made the rest of my Christmas decoration.

Linne...I received this from a friend just today and thought you may like to watch this.
It's pretty amazing that a home owner would do something like this.
Everybody else...enjoy and turn up your speakers.

This was the first video I had ever received, years ago, when they first started putting Christmas lights to music. The music is from the TransSiberian Orchestra and the song is Wizards of Winter. This is still my favorite. I hope that you like it in other countries as well as we do. TSO is the best Christmas concert I've ever seen!

P.S. I'm liking the looks of my ticker these days! I have to go to the post office this morning and mail off my final payment! Yay!

Thank you so much, Connie and luvinson. I'm totally speechless, have never expirenced something like that before. Fantastic! Do you think they play the music during the day, or is it a show made now and again?

I am not one for artificial greens if I can help it but this little tree holds some old ornaments that belonged to Charlie's mom and we got them after she passed away. If you can see the little bird on there that belonged to Charlie's mom's grandmother.
My assorted tree collection and that is Charlie's choo choo from many years ago!
And here's a little flower arrangement I did for last night's dinner party.

Linne,
I have an angel complex too. My house has angels all over. I have two of the same straw angels that you have. My favorites are Lladro and Hummel but I keep those in a special cabinet. I have one little tree that I just put angels on.
MaryAnn,
When my husband and I got married eons ago, we both brought some ornaments with us. Each of us had those birds with feathers that you have on your tree.
Enjoying this thread.
