If you want a good view, what about Cruz Views condos or Serendip? I still don't know if you're going during the normal high season part of April or what your budget is, but if it's before April 19th you could get a studio at Serendip for $1240 for the week. If it's after April 19th, it's even less.

Caribbean Villas reps the Cruz Views condos, and those are affordable. Both Cruz Views and Serendip have great views and are close to town and the North Shore Beaches.

I'm seriously thinking about Serendip for my next trip. Ed (notahippie) went there and the views were gorgeous, the kitchen was nice for an efficiency, and it's right there in town. You could probably rent a car for just a few days to see the further out stuff and walk or cab it anywhere else.
