The little smiley face icons indicate I was joking. I actually dislike Dave Matthews and don't really think his opinion matters on the president any more than anyone else's.
I wasn't joking about the Commie part, but you knew that.

No, that was not directed towards you or anyone else. I actually like Dave's music...Went to college in the 90's - it's all I heard for four years.
I just always find it amusing when famous people preach to us about the environment and the Earth, only to find out things like that. You know, like Gore and his private jet.

I read recently that Lou Ferrigno and Gerald McRaney have come out in support of John McCain. Lou, of course, played the Incredible Hulk and Gerald was on Simon and Simon and also in Major Dad.
Oh, and Daddy Yankee who is a reggaeton singer also has come out for McCain.

I love his music, but can't stand his politics. "Terrible Ted" Nugent would be very entertaining to watch at the debates. Can you imagine the shocked look on the faces of his opponents when he starts a four letter word laced rant reminiscent of "Double Live Gonzo"....it makes me chuckle. Being such an uber-conservative who is quick to shoot off at the mouth must make his right wing Christian conservative buddies a little nervous. I mean can you really expect those stuffy bible folks to understand "Wang Dang Sweet Poontang". That should keep me giggling for a while....
Ted is probably one of the most under rated guitarists out there. I wonder if his big mouth turns people off? Hmmmmmmmmmm....

I have stayed out of the political debate because personally I am not up for doing it here and won't, but I would like to interject one thing...
I personally cannot stand when entertainers endorse politicians or make shows I am attending their grounds for their political beliefs. I am there to be entertained by their music, movie, tv show or whatever...not to hear about politics.
I understand if they want to endorse whoever, it just bugs me to be at a live show and have the entertainer assume that everyone in the crowd shares the same views as them. I like the music I like because of the music, not the politics, and I don't care about the personal lives of any of them.
I am talking about both entertainers who share my views as well as the ones that don't. I have seen Ted Nugent and Jimmy Buffett and thankfully neither was at all political during their concerts.

I am a big U2 fan and Bono has said on more than one occasion that the others in the band really get on him about his political beliefs and there were even times that he thought they might break up over his activism.
I don't really care about celebrity endorsements either. I think they just encourage people to vote for the wrong reasons.

I know Obama is here and I am not going to be able to see him.
I just missed him last time and then now again.
Oh well will wait for his next trip to STT and maybe will get to see him.......

My friend who lives on STT saw him when his family and him were on vac a while back
Hi,
Jimmy is playing in Tampa at the Ford Amphitheatre
on Sunday afternoon for an Early Vote Rally.
Hubs was able to get 4 tickets in Sarasota. Yep,
they were giving away general admission-lawn tickets if you volunteer some time for the Obama campaign.
Cool!! We would do that for nothing even. Go to the Buddha Deli downtown maybe they're doing it today too.
Obama is in Sarasota later today but will have to miss him for work.
Have a great day...wooo whooo almost TGIF!
Kathy
