I am a lifelong, long-suffering Phillies fan, and I was at the game on Saturday night which was tremendous (and also rainy, but it stopped BEFORE they played!). I agree that last night was a big letdown, but I just know we are going to pull out a win. Our bullpen has been consistently better than the Rays, and we will win it for Cole! If we can score even one run in the bottom of the 6th and hang on, he will still get the win.
GO PHILLIES!!!

Well, it won't be tonight because the weather is even worse today. Maybe tomorrow night, or even Thursday.
Just want to get this over with!!!
At least the kids have a chance at watching a World Championship Game if they only have 3 innings to play. That's a plus.
Go Phillies

I was wondering...will they play if it is snowing tonight? Or is that treated like rain? I don't ever remember seeing a snowy baseball game before!

Just heard that they have decided to try to finish the game on Wed. night, starting at 8:30. The weather is truly crappy here today so I think this is a good decision. I'm also sort of glad that this will be a shortened game--my son is bone-tired from being up until 3:30 AM after the Saturday game, then up late again Sunday and Monday. I'm being a bad mommy (well, according to his school!) and letting him stay up late to watch. He's 13--I wouldn't do it if he were 5--but this is Philly history here and we are BIG Phillies fans!
GO PHILLIES!!!

Ya - I'm hoping that I'm not the only Rays fan. There has to be more.

The game absolutely should have been stopped before it was.
Philly fans are pretty mad that it's now tied and that the umps waited that long to stop it.
Good thing is we only have 9 outs to finish this game.Rays have 12

Well we got three inches of snow in the Burbs of Philly today. My friend was at the game last night and they weren't even calling for that rain to start until after midnight so they didn't have any rain gear. They spent $300 on sweatshirts just trying to keep warm and dry. It just amazed me that they waited until the Rays scored to stop the game. We should be looking forward to our parade down Broad Street. But as they say in the Islands....soon come.
Go Phils! Our city needs this championship. We've suffered long enough, right Phils Phans???

Let's just say - "The Rays are on Island Time". I can feel that Game 6 is on the way.

We can't have a game 6. We have to win in Philly and we will win.
That's all I have to say

Nah – it’s going to go to the wire. All the way to Game 7. Let’s get our “Sleepless Nights Worth”.

I think the drama has peaked a lot of folks interest; I bet the TV ratings will be UP for the rest of Game 5 (my prediction is Rays win in extra innings - 12th or 13th).
Of course, if the Red Sox had beaten the Rays, they would have done their normal World Series sweep and there would have been no Game 5 (and many Sox fans would have free furniture again) - just sayin'
