I don't think it's a bad ride -- not for $60 (I think it is now). It takes a half hour or so, stops at customs. I think you could walk to Foxy's from there, but we paid a couple of bucks to take a taxi. They're waiting for you at the ferry dock.
I like Jost, but I'll be honest and say that 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. is really enough time for me there. I start to get bored with napping on the beach and drinking and need more excitement after that. And by excitement, I do not mean the crowds at Soggy Dollar when all the chartered boats seem to arrive at the exact same time.

Just bumping this up since we are just four weeks out. I have 20 of those glow bracelets (got them at TRU Halloween sale, but there was only one box left!)

I was bumping this up to see if anyone else was coming, but I figured I would tell you that I just read on News of St. John that Steve Simon is in Iraq doing concerts for the troops! Does that mean there won't be any jazz?
I'll be at the Beach Bar regardless, but I figured I'd check in to see if anyone knows if there will be other entertainment?
Looking forward to meeting everyone. And vacation. I need a vacation.

We are staying at Sapphire Beach and would be interested in a Sunday get together.

What time is everyone meeting? Maybe we will get to meet everyone! Although I am newly registered on this board, I have been reading every Virgin Island board for months in preparation of this trip! So excited! We leave on Nov 4th for 10 nights

This is my first time, but I think people generally meet around 5 p.m. or so. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm coming straight from the Jost ferry, so we'll be there around 4 p.m. I'm having tuna bites and nachos for supper!

The Sunday Beach Bar Jazz carries on when Steve is away. Usually Sally or one of the other members is the band leader in his absence. It's still great. There's a LOT of talent there!

I always stop at the Beach Bar after I go to Jost. It's on my way back to the car. Actually, the Beach Bar ALWAYS seems to be on the way back to the car! Good times!
