I must have missed some pics. I do not recall seeing a pic of anyone with an injurty?
I remember pics of you Vicki. Was I supposed to click on another link?

That poor woman you were with! She wrecked her face! I hope she is OK now??

Just curious, can you fly your plane into St. Thomas, or is that too far?

Hey Rosi. My friend Teresa bit it on some beach rocks. These:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/42427255@N00/2724098300/" title="She fell on these. by Vicki_H, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3175/272 ... cebf7f.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="She fell on these."></a>

...turned her face into this:

<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/42427255@N00/2724098050/" title="THIS is why I only drink one nipper. by Vicki_H, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3028/272 ... 318d1c.jpg" width="500" height="333" alt="THIS is why I only drink one nipper."></a>

It was sad, sad, sad....

Nothing permanent. She's okay. She was actually pretty lucky. It could have been much worse.

Thank you VickiH for your report and your absolutely fantastic pictures. I love all the colors. Guana Cay looks wonderful and not very crowded.

Bahamas outer islands have always interested me, as it could be a place that could suit us and what we are looking for. The beaches reminds me of those in Turks and Caicos, but since they are pretty close that is not strange.

Glad to hear that your friend is better. It didn't look very nice where she fell.

I am officially jealous of the frequency of your beach vacations Vicki! I got sick while on vacation this year and feel completely cheated out of my annual STJ fix. And we’re possibly buying some land in the next few weeks and now my husband is threatening that we won’t make it STJ next year at all

Your pictures are gorgeous as always!

TeresaRae - I feel your pain. I got sick on a free week on STT and lost the "free time" part of my vacation. When I got better, we had to do company functions. At least I got to STJ on the last day, but I never saw anything of STT except for the airport and CA.

Thanks for sharing the new place in the Bahamas – we’re always looking for some place new and better yet, close to home. As always, your pictures are great..

Vickie H-

Your pictures are great! I was interested in maybe using a few for some advertising - of course giving you credit. What are your thoughts on that?

Have at it, Abacogal. I'll send you a PM to let you know how you can get the original file.

pj and I went to the Abacos in 1991. Stayed on Green Turtle Cay at the Bluff House. It was different, but nothing like STJ. At the time we probably thought it was paradise, but now we know better. :)

As for getting there, we took a very, very small commuter flight from Ft Lauderdale to Treasure Cay Airport and then the ferry over to Green Turtle.

How small was the commuter line--the pilot said "We're almost like a real airlline."

If I can not make it to STJ with Lulu and the gang in Nov......maybe I can AT least get to Abaco for a few days.........Heck I live by the sea but I feel landlocked........it is just not the Caribbean sea.....(
