Great idea - are you in?
I want to be. I'm getting the slow ear looked at in August.

MrB, should we have an election results not-watching party that night?

Cheers, RickG

Mike---You seem like such a nice guy---not at all the type to raise such a divisive topic.

Before I comment, I guess I'd first like to know the opinions of the candidates on some important issues---do they think VI visitors should bring groceries down or buy them at the store? Do they prefer Coral Bay or Cruz Bay? What do they think of the Neat Sheet? Do they have any undisclosed connections to Jorge?

Iowaguy - your questions for the candidates made me burst out laughing after a very long day at work. Then I had a mental picture of you asking McCain and Obama those questions at a presidential debate, and the quizzical look you would probably get.

iowaguy- Love it!

I think Obama is a Cruz Bay kinda guy and McCain is a Coral Bay kinda guy.

Both of them will have to speak with their advisors regarding Neet Sheets!

BTW- I totally disagree with not discussing religion, politics & sex. I mean, what's left after that- the weather? Even New Englanders can't discuss the weather for THAT long.

If a person is confident in their beliefs & opinions and ALSO has an open mind about other beliefs & opinions, they should be able to join in on a conversation or just sit back and listen. Might maybe even learn sumthin' new!

Here in the DC Plantation folks get to vote for Mayor, City Council, and ANC. Then every four years we register our discontent and vote someone in or out of the big house down on Pennsylvania Ave.

You reminded me of "The Last Lecture" which I watched last weekend on Youtube. (I highly recommend that) He gave his college students an assignment to create a virtual world, and they wanted to know what they should create. He told them there were no limits ---no wait, there are two rules. No shooting violence and no pornography. He then said that you would be surprised at the high percentage of 19 year-old boys that, when you take those two topics off the table, are completely out of ideas.
