I love the fact that the mask served so many different purposes. Quite useful.

:) Sorry Ben...but when I got to the picture I almost fell out of my chair laughing  .

But,all laughs aside...My spouse and I both wear glasses and can understand. I lost mine one time at the bottom of the Nantahala while rafting...not a good thing. We always carry a spare now. He now wears contacts to snorkle...me I go without, regular mask and am nearly blind in water. I miss alot...Lordy I hope no sharks are reading this...I'll be dinner!
How do you manage to get a prescription mask? :o

Sherry in SC :)

I'm packing to go to Jost for five days. I thought of benchill and threw in an extra pair of contact lenses AND an extra pair of eyeglasses, because you never know what could happen.
Waterguy, you're in charge of the web cam after 10AM tomorrow morning. Seanile, you're his backup.

On your way to Jost, if you see my specs floating near Honeymoon please retrieve them and hold em for me.
Have a great getaway!

YOU RUINED MY VACATION!

I swore off the booze on day two when I saw a turtle wearing specs.

Oh dear God I am sitting in my office laughing out loud at 4:30 in the morning! Anyone passing by would think I'd lost my mind.
What a great story! (To read, not to tell)

Most resourceful forumite to date! Excellent problem solving skills in making the best use of what you had ... sometimes you just have to do what you have to do.

Thanks for the laugh and the reminder of my hubby standing at the end of the aisle unable to see me because he had ripped his contacts the morning of our wedding.

I can't believe I didn't comment on this very memorable post last summer.
I must have been laughing too hard to type.

This was, and continues to be, my favorite post ever on virgin-islands-on-line.com :D

"About five minutes out of Cruz Bay passing Honeymoon, we open up the twin 200's and the men are grunting their approvals that come when loads of horsepower are transmitted to props."

Thank goodness the props were turning at full speed and in the proper direction...

What a good sport you are. I feel compassion for you but still can't help giggling at the notion of you walking around Cruz Bay in that mask! Don't feel too bad, the same predicament was portrayed in a movie with Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.....Notting Hill. He lost his glasses and had to wear the RX snorkel mask to the movies. I like your story better....without the clock to the face, though. That had to hurt.
