I will look at Hub's bottle when I get home tonight. After years of flying all over the place, he started to have a bit of trouble. A little pill or two and he is fine.
Whatever it is he takes simply relaxes him without making him sleepy or doppy. It also isn't one that you need to be worried about taking around alcohol.

A week on a cat sailing the VI's & BVI's listening to Kenny and Keith and in good company....sounds like total heaven to me. (If Jorge chickens out, lmk and I'll sacrifice and take his place.)

  Ali~
(P.S. for Sydney: Sorry I missed you at the concert. I tried you back a couple of times on the cell, but only got your voice mail. I couldn't get any closer than the B section; the entrances to section A were heavily guarded. I though the concert was awesome. Hope you had a great time. Have fun in Las Vegas. Again, sorry that I missed you. Ali~

Hubs takes (and I steal his pills) lorazepan (Ativan) and the warning labels says "Alcohol will increase effects, use care in operating machinery"
One and a beer puts him where he needs to be. One for me makes traveling with Mr. High Maintenance tolerable. For him, its just the boarding and take off, once that is over, he is fine.

See, if you bring your own booze, then you don't have to beat a flight attendant when she cuts you off. Still a good plan.
A couple of drinks in the airport bar and it's enough to tolerate the trip. Sometimes flying bothers me, sometimes it doesn't. If I'm going somewhere icky on a work trip it bothers me more than trips to St. Thomas, usually.

				Jorge,
Valium has a LONG half life meaning it will be in your system for a long, long time. I would avoid it for this particular purpose. You need something shorter acting. I've done Ativan and Xanax when flying (with a little alcohol mixed in!). It certainly does the trick and I function fine, but when I attempt to recall things later in the day, I'm really fuzzy and feel dopey. For me, in all honesty, alcohol is the drug of choice. It chills me out, I can function and don't get that hung over feeling. Of course, I'm speaking of alcohol in moderation! As for Rick G's Ketamine suggestion.....you better have someone to watch over you because you'll start hallucinating and talking out of your as*!!!!!!
Luv ya Jorge!

On my last trip, I was going to take some mini bottles of booze on the plane, but my travelling companions said it would be taken away from me. Does anyone know if that's true?

Sounds like a winner. I hear that Rohypnol works pretty well too. I'm just glad I don't have to give that to Christine any longer to get her to travel with me.

Sweet Christine and I took mini bottles of liquor in our 3+1+1 bag on our flight to Atlanta last weekend. No problem, and the soft drinks are still free on Airtran. Too bad we can't get Cruzan miniatures in Virginia. I got some Capt. Morgan and that stuff is nasty - like artificial vailla. The E&J Brandy was pretty good and cheap.
Cheers, RickG
