Thank you, Promoguy. Ireland - that is where me own mother is from, by way of North Carolina - and a few generations.

Your pictures are stunning. Ireland is on my List of Must Sees.

Wonderful! Absolutely love the house in the Village of Adare. Hard to imagine something more homey yet lovely.

WOW, thanks sooo very much for the "instant gratification" promo!!
I love all your photos...especially the cottage and the one with the boats. Many are very familiar looking to me from my visit. We stayed @ The Killarney Country Club(timeshare) and hung out all around County Kerry. Ventured a bit into County Cork as well.
Well, now that you've made the visit I am almost 99% positive you'll be back!!!
Hubs and I had a trip to Scotland booked for this coming July but canceled. We were meeting one of my bro's and his wife in Glasgow and venturing off to the Highlands. After the attempted bomb attack at Glasgow airport we were a bit skeptical to say the least. That and the rising costs as well as sooo many strangers from the middle-east in the UK.
It's in our future though after this "mess" quiets down some, hopefully
Take care and thanks again for sharing.
Kathy

My hubby and I have booked a trip to Scotland this July. Our plans is to go to Edinburgh and then head up north.
Nice pictures Promoguy. I also like that thatched roof cottage.

Hi Maggy,
It was the attempt last year. I am a way in advance planner and that attempt along with the ever increasing amount to spend put us off for now anyway.
I've been once before and it will be hubs' 1st visit.
The highlands are breathtaking! Will you be in Edinburgh for the military tattoo?
Take care and enjoy the warm "scotspeople"!!
The Bellhaven beer is soooo good

My whiskey drinking dayz were a long time ago

Thanks for your reply. Ok, then I know. It's our 2nd visit to Scotland, and it's payback time for my husband. He goes with me to BVI/STJ so I can dive and I go with him on a "Whiskey tour"

But I do think it's very beautiful up there, so I am fine with that. We are not visiting the Military Tattoo. Prefer the more peaceful countryside.
