We stayed at LaCollina in 2003.

It has two equal master bedrooms on the main level, and each has a pull-out couch so the kids could sleep in the room with the parents. There are also two bedrooms on the lower level with outdoor access that could be used if you didn’t want the kids in the same room as the parents (obviously that would require either the couple without the kids to use a downstairs bedroom and the kids to use one of the upstairs masters or the parents and kids all stay downstairs).

The pool is around the other side of the house and completely inaccessible from the deck.

Hi everyone -- thanks for all your ideas. As a mother of one year old twins who works full time, the time I can devote to researching this is less than I would like
but you have given me places to start, and I've started emailing some agents.
Can anyone think of a villa that might work for us on the Coral Bay Side. As NYC residents we like for as little hustle and bustle as possible on a vacation like this - so that seems more appealing to me,
I'm sure I'll be back with follow ups -- I most appreciate your time and knowledge -- we are all first timers on ST. John

windspree.com has the biggest selection of Coral Bay houses. There are fewer on that side that meet your needs than in the Choco Hole/GCB area. It might be best to call them and ask after their houses, they have a half dozen brand new ones.

The ones that catch my eye are Casa de Suenos, Villa Ventosa, Sea Breeze and Ananas.

Something to remember is that little people can get splinters from wooden decks. I had my oldest get a big one at the old Hart Bay Beach House when she was 5. At 16, she still remembers that.

Have fun!

Cheers, RickG

Lsinden, I wouldn't say that Cruz Bay has "hustle" nor "bustle," but there are lots of fairly remote villas on the south shore that are away from it all.

We just stayed in the Skytop area of Fish Bay and thought it was too remote (it's more Cruz Bay than Coral Bay). You could stay in Rendevous, Virgin Grand Estates, Fish Bay, etc, and not be close to town.
