Lovely photos. We considered Great Escape at one point but were somewhat put off by the tales of John's Head Rd. What was your experience? The view looks amazing. Would you stay there again?

Ken,
Your photography is amazing. The colors are so vibrant. Do you do any adjustments prior to posting - such as using photoshop at all?

I would stay at Great Escape again - mainly for the view. It was truly incredible. Loved that most of what we saw was park with almost no buildings. We also enjoyed watching all the boat traffic in Francis and Cinnamon Bay. Believe it or not, we could even see Anegada with binoculars when it was clear. The villa itself is first class in every way. The only thing I didn't like was that the pool was on the lower deck - which had no shade. So we spent most of our time upstairs while the kids were swimming. Wish we could have been sitting by the pool, but the lack of shade was killer.
Anyone who is interested in the photo processing feel free to PM me. Happy to share what I've learned.

Forgot to mention that John's Head road was no big deal. It wasn't paved, but it wasn't the least bit "scary" to us. Not nearly as bad as the drive to Lameshur.

Are you kidding? I've never been on John's Head Rd., but heard so many "horror stories" about it. I did drive to Lameshur, however, and that didn't seem bad at all! Guess I'll be checking out Catherinberg in the future if it's not that bad.
