Thanks for sharing your trip. The pictures are great as usual. OH looks like a wonderful villa.
I recognise the high waves you had from our trip to VG (we were there at the same time).
I don't know what to say about the food

Too me it looks like top restaurant food. Should you get tired on your present job, at least you would have a clue what to do

Nice. I can cook a little, but really stink at presentation (not that I've tried that much) so I envy those that can do it all. I assume that at your skill level your "kitchen time" including prep, cook, clean up is not too bad - i.e. you're pretty quick and I know you enjoy it. When on island for a only week, we avoid kitchen time like the plague, although it would be nice to make some of our "specialties" and enjoy it in a special place.

Ah, for the luxury of 18 whole days on St. John! Great report and pictures, it's no wonder we always value your opinions and experiences...

I second the notion you should be on top chef
I liked how you call yourselves
DINKS. have not heard that expression in a while.
It is odd when it is cold enough on island to need a sweater.
Glad you had another wonderful time at La Tap.
I miss Alex and her team and her mussels and mojitos with Josephines greens.
Just have to wait til Nov

Enjoyed your first installment! Looking forward to the rest. I have to remember when I read your trip reports though, to wait until after I eat. I am starving right now!

I don't spend much time in the kitchen. For example, with the indian food meal, I made the sauce at home and brought it down frozen. I also put the chicken into the marinade and froze that also. So, when it was time for dinner, all I had to do was throw the thawed chicken on the grill, reheat the sauce and stir in some peas, and warm up the naan on the grill. I actually had a bunch of indian type meals planned but a lot of those ingredients were in the cooler that did not make it.
Thanks for the nice comments, everyone! I should have installment two up this morning, I think.

Oh, a trip report from you is just what I need to help with reentry! Thanks! It lessens the pain a little! I'm determined to do a report with pics this time so I can relive it all. Can't wait to read more!

No AC, but we did not miss it. There are incredible breezes up there, it was even breezier than Catherineberg. I needed a long sleeved shirt out on the open porch in the evenings.
