I believe Caneel Trailside Cottage meets all of your requirements.

AWL1977,

It is really not that bad. It is just a big open area of dirt, They hardly work at all.

It wouldn't deter me from renting Sundance again.

Anything else specific, let me know.

She needs 3 bedrooms now, and it has only two. Nice villa though. We stayed there last year.

Take a look at WaterKlip Suite. It's basic but has great views across Pillsbury Sound. It's on Contant Point, pretty close to town. A very nice pool and the deck is covered but narrow.

Sorry-didn't notice until now that the 3rd couple was back in!

I can barely keep up either, and it's my group!

We've narrowed down to a few choices:

Hale Lani
Unicorn
Calyso del Sol
Gull Cottage

Apparently, all three offer plenty of covered space, somewhat equal bedrooms and, most importantly, are available for our dates. Hallelujah! And all are less than $1200 per couple per week. Any preferences? I know how flip-flop feels on Hale Lani (good) but the others I'm not as familiar with.

We stayed in Calypso del Sol May 2007. We loved it. Especially, the full house a/c. Their is one bedroom on the main level and two downstairs. The bedroom on the main level is accessed from the den. You enter the other two bedrooms from the outside verandah (separate entrances, with a laundry room between the two). Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. There are two verandah's the length of the house on each level. There is a side screened-in porch with a dining table & sitting area. The pool & hot tub are wonderful. The pool gets full sun most of the day, so the water is nice & warm in the evenings (the way I like it). The house is easy to get to with a flat circle driveway/parking area right at the front door. There is a bit of a blind spot getting in & out of the drive, but not a big deal. The villa is very clean & well maintained. The kitchen is well equipped and open to the dining/living area. Let me know if you need any other info.

There are two other cute 3 bedroom houses that I have been looking at lately.

Amorita through Destination St. John and Sea Blossom though Viva. Both are under $3000 for the week, have a/c in the bedrooms, pool. Amorita is in Chocolate Hole and Sea Blossom is in Fish Bay.

As for Hale Lani, I love it for 2 couples. For 3 one couple will be a little shafted w/ the 3rd downstairs room. While it is more private (if the 4th bedroom is unoccupied), it doesn't have the views or the space of the two upstairs masters.

Thanks flip -

Good to know about Hale Lani. I looked at your pics and it did look as if the 3rd and 4th were less than equal. In the end, my friends will have to make a decision about whether or not they care.

Sea Blossom is actually on my short list of 10. My friends didn't gravitate towards it, but I'll keep it in the back of my mind. I looked at Amorita this morning, but for some reason it's not on my short list. Let me revisit that.

We do have some photos. I will email them to you as soon as I can. It doubt that I can do it tonight, but, hopefully I can get them to you by tomorrow night.

By, the way, the 3 bedrooms at Calypso del Sol are all equal, so no one will feel like that got the short end of the stick.

Yeah, Calypso is my choice, but the friends and husband seem to be partial to Hale Lani. Once I explain the bathroom situation, they may relent.

Does anyone know anything about Unicorn?

There was just a review about Hale Lani posted 4/11 and it wasn't flattering (or am I missing something?)

I actually hadn't checked the villa reviews lately. Yeah, that's not a good review. Oh well, nothing set in stone yet. Other villas on our short list include:

Sea Blossom
Amorita
Sea Dream
Treasure Ridge
Sea Cay
Arco Iris (though I've been told it's very close to the road)
Le Lapin II

What about Tesseract. It has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Looks like a good view and has a pool. No hot tub. Make sure all bedrooms have AC. Under 3000 for 6 people.
