Unless I spill something on me, I will wear that outfit again another night.
We did laundry in April but that was only to brig home clean clothes.
Ditto for me, except I only take 2 suits. Trust me. For a week, it is plenty. Now if I can just convince my teenage daughter!

I am a chronic and tragic overpacker plus a little addicted to doing laundry. I know I am weird, I even don't mind on vacation!
On our last trip (granted there was a baby involved) we used probably 20% of the clothing we brought. I have favorites that I ended up washing and rewearing.
For my next trip - in August which makes it easier because its hot here and hot there - I am HELLBENT on carryon only or carryon + 1 checked bag. No more mountain of luggage! We'll see if I can do it

What if you plan on going out at night? (Not eating in at your villa). I'm like flip-flop. I always overpack! I am an addict!!

OK, i've solved this for myself.
Part of the problem is I had to fit my fins and snorkel gear into the suitcase.
This is what I'm going to do because I'm not going to stress about this any longer and I want to be able to relax from the start.
I'm taking another bag. In that bag I am going to put all the snorkel equipment, plus the sunblock, bugspray, brushes, flip flops, bulkier things that I don't want in with my clothes. I'm going to buy a TSA lock today at Bed, Bath and Beyond and use it for that bag. Say my prayers and hope it's gets there (we had luggage stolen once and never got it back).
The bag I carry on will be small because I'm pulling out my clothes and putting 1/2 back into my dresser.
Problem solved.

When I go out at night I throw on a pair of shorts and a shirt with a pair of flip flops.I save the sundress from Zozo's. I never dress up in island. I have to do it every day.

I also use those space bags that you can roll up and sit on to get the air out. Used them before and it helps alot with room in the suitcase. Maybe not weight, but room. I still have not packed for my Saturday trip (leaving friday to stay at the airport) but will be starting tonight! I usually bring an outfit for each NIGHT (and one extra, just in case) and only rely on a bathingsuit and coverup for daytime! I'm not talking about anything fancy or speical...just a nice shirt and either skort, short or capri...I actually lay them out on the bed matching top to bottom then count out my days and pack them...much easier for me that way as I used to OVERPACK as well. Do love my flip flops though! TG most are now from Old Navy (in every color) and they pack nice and flat!
