Rick - you forgot pheasant, quail and andouille gumbo and missed the key lime pie and the shoe sole that were secretly eating when you and No Tan Lines were off on a mission seeking more music.

Burning Spear was my favorite band of the day - would be great on a St. John mix.

Where are the antacids when you need them???

It is AWESOME having these guys here to share my favorite time of year with! Just think, tomorrow, ya'll will be pros now that you are no longer fest virgins

Kellee and I got new hats! I can't wait to get all the pics on here! There will have to be a picture report from this trip. It is the only way for me to remember parts of it! Margo has tons of great pics too!

This is the first year I have seen Southern Comfort have a booth with Hurricanes and lime and SOCO. They were frozen and very good!!!!!!!

What a rainy day!!!! It poured all afternoon! We finally gave in and called it a day just as Billy Joel started playing! What a one to miss but it was cold and very wet!

I didn't take too many pics because of all the rain but Margo had an umbrella so she got some.

We are having crawdads for dinner tonight!

We're off again! More soon come!

I hope you all had a great time in New Orleans and at Jazz Fest. I know Elizabeth showed you an amazing time. Nothing like a little lagniappe and a go cup! Laissez le bon temps roulette! Wish we could have joined you all. Just a little too close to our STJ trip even though we have an apartment in NoLa. Margo, hope you enjoyed the restaurant suggestions close to your hotel. Christy & Chad

PS - It always rains at Jazz Fest (at least one day). Part of the charm!

Hey CHM - this was ALOT of rain (you know...the sideways kind). For me to leave fest early, you KNOW it's gotta be ALOT of rain but Billy Joel played on as it rained.

Cowboy Mouth rocked the house though, and Jan and Mike caught some good jazz from Astral Project in one the Jazz tents and were dry the whole time. I think they were in shock when they met us to leave at how bad it really was raining.

Rick impressed me with his crawfish consumption! Mike too. Cat was kind enough to show Mike how to suck the heads and pinch the tails

I have to say, I am gonna be sad when this group leaves as it has been an amazing time. The rain didn't even ruin it for us.

p.s. I can't wait to see the pics too!

Cowboy Mouth was awesome! The rain held off reasonably while they played. I was impressed with that Louisiana rain, once it started blowing and coming down hard it actually managed to rain up - my shorts, umbrella, the works!

Jaegers for crawfish was excellent. I was impressed.

nothingtolose, Jerry, Cat and Kenneth have been amazing hosts. Killer time!

Now, time to go to day 3 and catch Rockin' Dopsie.

Cheers, RickG

Hi all! Thanks to RickG for helping me to finally get online! I brought my $200 ebay laptop and apparently I typed in the hotel's wifi key wrong. THANKS RICK!!! I was going to try to post some pix from here, but it seems there's not enough time in the hotel. Up at 8:30 - out by 10:00 or 11:00 and home again at 2 a.m.!! FUN! FUN! FUN!!!! I cannot believe how hard it rained yesterday, and today we're in for more! 80% chance w/ strong thunder storms! :D We all got soaked to the skin, but you know... it was OK!

I have TONS of GREAT pictures to share with you. Got a good one of Rick sucking the heads! I'll try to post some tonight, but it may be Tuesday, after I get home, before I can get 'er done.

Here's the only one I had time to edit so far :D

Rock on!

I'm glad that you all are having a good time. I thought about you guys when I heard about all of the rain on the news. I'm glad to hear that it hasn't slowed you down too much.
