That's a cute house but I don't think it would work for them as it's $3200.00 for a week in high season when they are going and they wanted to be under 2K

Just wanted to share with you all...
I did some searching, a little research, about other islands

.
I think ya'll know what my conclusion was...
Nothing compares to freakin' STJ

!
Why is that?
The only other island we'd consider is Bermuda and only cuz it's so darn close (we'd fly outta Boston).
Unfortunately, due to my job's busy season and hubby's job's busy season, Bermuda doesn't work for us

.
Probably best since we'd end up hoppin' over there more than the budget would like! Crikey- we could cruise over in the spring and then fly over in the fall

!
Maybe I should get a different job so I could do that... Hmmmmmmmm......

Just remember the water is cccccold in January (so I have heard) around Bermuda - I know it was freezing in the Bahamas (not exactly the same I know) during the winter months as it is so much further North than STJ - you could not get me in there for nothin'
Average water temp in the VI's in January 79 and in Bermuda 65 brrrrrr

Yup - Bermuda is a gem and a real easy trip from Boston.
However, not a beach destination until April/May. Might get good golf weather in the winter.
Pia - coming from New England, Bahamas is rather balmy to us this time of year

I probably should've mentioned that hubby works like a madman once kids get out of school for the summer (we have a doggy daycare & board dogs) and up until they go back in fall. And my busy season is April thru June. The only chance to got to Bermuda would be Sept/Oct and that's hurricane season.
So, unless I change jobs, we can't really enjoy Bermuda.
I'm still hoping to win the lottery!!!
jayseadee also has a good point- a cool day in Bermuda is waaaaaaayyyy better than the inch of ice+2 inches of snow we just got this morning in southern NH!! It actually slushed out last night... yes, "slushed"- not rain, not hail, not ice- SLUSH!
