I'm going to start going to STJ and stalking QM Kenny. After all, he's "the only Kenny on this island who matters"!

Seriously, he's a really nice guy. As for the other Kenny on STJ, we all put our pants on one leg at a time, and even if he makes a gajillion dollars a year, he's still just a normal joe who deserves not to have people snooping about his life.

The locals are so cool about him, very protective, and it's easy to see why he hangs his cowboy hat there.

I feel really bad for the people who turn their vacays into a stalkeriffic good time and spend thousands of dollars to sit at Woody's hoping and dreaming he'll waltz into their lives.

This topic depresses me. Pass the painkillers.

Once people find out where a celebrity lives, they feel the need to go find them.

Jimmy Buffet made Key West famous and all the parrotheads go there.

I guess Kenny C has made St. John famous and that's just the way it is.

I don't believe people should stalk him and that he needs his down time.

Thing is...I'm a big fan and I'm surprised how many of his songs mention Mexico...go figure.

This is so funny to me because we were told on our first trip that Kenny's house (this was before I even knew who Kenny was) was Dave Matthews house.

Now, I could care less about KC (though he seems like an ok dude) but I am sorry, if Dave lived there even part time I would already be living on STJ!

I like him OK, but aside from listening to a few of his songs (and a lot more Marley and Buffett) I didn't really give him two thoughts on my vacation. There were folks with us who went as far as to rent a boat to see his house. That made me sad and, frankly, a bit embarrassed.

People that live in the public eye ie: celebrities get used to being watched for.
I lived on island and UNless 'country kenny' was pointed out to me or I heard him speak, had no idea it was him.
Anderson Cooper has been on island as has Harrison Ford.
Once they are out of their element (tv, stage, film) most do not recognize them..

I just think 'country kenny' likes the vibe on island.
Though I have heard that he does get a little full of himself and use his fame to get his way.

I was really curious of what his house looked like--especially because he talks about how much he loves St. John. I wanted to see if he built something that is St. John-ish or millionaire-ish. But everyone pretended they 1) didn't know where it was or 2) that he doesn't have a house anymore. No worries. It isn't my business I was just curious.

If I ran into him I think I would take notice but I probably contain myself. I hope!

We did snuba with a celebrity (not like KC but still he is on tv). I thought he looked like "someone" and introduced myself just like I would to anyone we were going to do snuba with. He told me his name and instantly I knew who he looked like but I didn't let on. I have always promised myself that I would let a celebrity feel normal. The sometimes forgotten golden rule!

I still feel that it says a lot about the people of St. John that they don't exploit their celebrities.
