OMG!!! The two post about "extremely expensive" in villa dining costs cannot be about Ted's Supper Club! His prices are only slightly-SLIGHTLY- higher than most fine dining restaurants! There are MANY private chef/in villa dining choice out there. Many of those are noticeably more expensive that eating at a restaurant, that is not true of Ted's Supper Club prices.

Cheryl, I can understand your surprise at the remarks in this old thread, but Ted's Supper Club prices have come WAAAAAAAAAY down since I first inquired in 2008...

Oh good Maryanne, I'm so glad you know that! I was afraid Ted may have lost a customer for good.

(I wonder if you are referring to the prices KatiLady was charging for Ted's food when she asked him to work under her company for bookings??? KatiLady runs a much larger operation than Ted's Supper Club so she did need to up Ted's prices when she booked him... totally understandable. I'm real sure that once he stopped working with Katilady and struck out on his own, his prices were always comparable to a dinner out... fair prices for his food have always been very important to him, even when he was pricing his menus at restaurants (often to the chagrin of owners who knew they could charge more... Ted always wanted his prices to be fair for his MANY repeat customers)

Thanks for letting me know that you are aware of Ted's current prices!!! I'm so relieved...

I actually used him this trip (I wrote about it over on your other thread.) I'm glad you made everyone aware of him, though. I wrote a TripAdvisor review because I thought he was so good.

As far as other chefs go, I had/have never inquired about anyone else. I like to cook, and only was interested in Ted because I knew how good he was.
