800 year old hospital – they still use leaches and blood-letting to treat people. Just kidding, I’m sure they’re a fine hospital.
Not to get too far afield here, but there are therapies that use leaches here in the good ol' US of A today 8) .

Hi melmd

I would advise against him coming to STJ/STT.

If he is on a donor list, what would you do if something became available while you were on vacation on STJ.

I do not know too much about donor (I am one) programs but I think you have a very limited time to get to the hospital for transplant (I am assuming we are talking about organ donations here as you said he is on a donor list) You have very limited flight times from STT unless you have air medivac, which I assume you would, but you are still 3 hours from FL and that would be if they could reach you if they needed (cell phones do not work at all locations on island) I would not want to have a transplant done at the STT hospital

Good luck
