I would LOVE to spend some of the time around St John! They haven't done it on past trips because of the expense of clearing the vessel, but we'll see this time; maybe they can be talked into it.
I'll definitely push the Jost agenda as well - I don't think I'll have much to do to convince them
Peter Island sounds like a good stop as well - didn't stop last time, although I think Capt Bob has.
I thought the current at Loblolly was strong when we were there. It was January and the Christmas winds were still blowing, which was part of it, but even so, that side of the island is completely exposed and likely to have current any time of year. I remember walking to the far right side of the beach and snokeling back with the current. From what I'm told, this is what Ed was doing (and has always done), but he did separate from the group (again, something he has always done), so no one is sure exactly what happened. From now on no one in our group will be going off on their own.
