Horray for getting your pic in a post! You are on your way to becomming a picture wiz
I believe you might have it to big yet to use as an avatar. If you want to send me the pic, I can reduce it for you but I'm figuring by the time it is small enough you might not really be able to see the pic.

I have given up to post a picture as an avatar. Cannot
reduce the size of the picture to less than 100 pix.
But have you seen that I have got another avatar instead? So now I feel I'm a real member of the board!
And with my new avatar people perhaps notice that I'm not an American, which can explain my not perfect English.

I like your avatar, Linne! It's like Maggy's. We can identify your country this way! However, if you want to send me a picture, I bet I can make an avatar for you.

Thank you very much for your offer CA girl. But now I have seen my avatar I like it too. And as you says, it's like Maggy's, so you can always recognize the Scandinavian "sisters". But it's still frustrating for me not been able to figure out how to
use a photo. So I'm curious. Which software are you using to get the pic in the right size?

Hi Linne - I use Photoshop to downsize the photos to avatar size. Then I copy them and paste them as a new picture and save them as an avatar. Somehow copying & pasting it makes the file size smaller and it just works!

Thank you CA girl. I haven't tried Photoshop only Webshot and Picasa. But now I know what to do if I want to change my avatar.
