Trip to Philly to see the Tut exhibit. Any locals (or visitors) have a good restaurant suggestion for Saturday night?

I should have planned a STJ trip as hubs is now regretting not doing a summer family vacation - oh well.

Ksea, we'll be out your way at Udvar Hazy Air and Space Museum on Saturday. Sunday is the first brew of the season - 17 gallons of IPA for an October contest. Sunday is a big dinner for the family and getting ready for school.

Flip-Flop, I remember Kindergarten! My baby is 10 and a safety patrol now. She mentioned this morning that she was excited about meeting her kindergarteners; the patrols walk them from the bus to class in the morning.

Cheers, RickG

Saturday and Sunday youngest son is playing in a soccer tournament about 30 miles south of us, and his older brother is refereeing in a tournament about 15 miles away - in a different direction.

We'll get home in time on Saturday to watch the Gators open their season (defending their title!) and may cook out.

Monday the oldest son will still be working the tournament (I didn't say this, but I expect the youngest son's team to be eliminated in group play by the end of Sunday). His site is out near the beach, so we may just have to go there so that we'll be close by...

Going to see my mom and dad in Fla...not a happy trip. At all.

Tracy, good luck with the boating thing here. We had to pull up our pier because of the water being so high. Oh, and it's no wake on ALL of the four lakes so no tubing or anything. :(

Have a happy labor day everyone!

Happy Labor Day to all!
In light of the recent "no wake" restrictions, you are going to have to be mellow. We pulled our pier out in a nick of time last week. That was the good news. Bads news was the shore station decided to snap a cable and now the boat is afloat...teethered, but afloat. These past weeks remind me of the flood scene from, "Oh, Brother Where Art Thou." Fun, fun, fun.

Okay, allow me this explaination of that dour response. My wife, Marcia, is a bit of a pistol. That attitude really defines her, in my opinion. By the way, I adore it.

Anywho, at one time, Marcia's mother was a bit of a pistol herself, so much so that my wife modeled after her, as kids do.

Now, Marcia's mother is in the twilight...she isn't burning as brightly, and we are visiting as the light seems to be flickering. My wife is somewhat sad. I don't blame her.

Okay, I'm done having feelings. Is there anyone out there who wants to tell me that Kenny actually can play guitar...'cause this Oprah moment makes me itch for a fight...oh, and playing C, G, D open chords doesn't count. (I thought that I might engage in some deflection by resorting to a standard hot topic.)

I'm going to see Kenny Friday night (NYS fair) ... I'll be wearing my Skinny's shirt.

And of course swimming and boating - I'm 'onthelake'

I just joined your group so I don't know how to do the ticker or avatar. Hopefully my kids will help me soon. Have a great weekend everyone.
