If you can, make it to see Spamalot - I took my oldest son to see it in Tampa in February and it was awesome!

My husband and I are headed to LV on October 18. We have tickets for the Buffett show on Oct. 20. We were thinking of doing one of the trips to the Grand Canyon/Hoover Dam. Any suggestions on booking one of those tours?

You may have left already, but if not, and you're renting a car, get off the strip and enjoy:
1. Nora's (best Italian food on the planet and a local fav)
2. Green Valley Ranch (great food and a wonderful outdoor walking mall that your wife will love!)
3. Red Rock Resort (we are always lucky there at the craps tables and it's just a down right pretty resort)
4. Fleur de Lys in Mandalay Bay (is an elegant French fine dining restaurant fleurdelyss.com)
5. Marche' Bacchus (on Regatta Dr in Sumerlin area..great wine and food and on a lake with outdoor seating and very romantic..another local hang out)
Don't be afraid to rent a car for a day and get off the strip, there's so much more to Vegas! Enjoy!

Sorry and forgot Lake Las Vegas. An Italian themed resort area with a Ritz Carlton, and other famous resorts, along with a wonderful golf course. It has free jazz concerts every weekend all summer long, but cannot remember if it's Fri. or Sat. evening. Take a lawn chair, cooler with refreshments, sit on the hillside lawn and enjoy! It's not the Caribbean, but the next best thing in Vegas. If you forget the refreshments, there are kiosks...$5 for a tropical themed drink of some sorts. (P.S. I pulled a $1,000 wheel of fortune here..no kidding!)
