Hi there

Making the 4pm Red Hook ferry will be really, really tight if you arrive at 3pm - almost impossible :( You would need everything to go perfectly - arrive 10 to 15 mins early, luggage to be first out (and quickly - not the usual 25+ min) and in a taxi and on the way by 3:25pm at the latest with no hotel drops on the way.

I do not think the CA ferry will be back to it's normal schedule in November (it wasn't last year) but if it is the 4pm CA ferry will be your best bet. Even that will put you at Cruz Bay by 4:45pm and on your way and at Cinnamon by about 5:15pm - close to it being dark.

I don't say this to be negative just to help you to be prepared to be pitching in the dark.

No, Jorge is younger and better looking than that!

Debbie-
I spent about 25 nights baresite camping at Cinnamon last year (not all at once), so if you have any specific questions, I'll be happy to answer them. Feel free to PM.

Okay, so I'm a newbie to this forum and after typing out an entire page in Word about my bare-site experience at Cinnamon Bay in April I see the original post was created in 2007. Ugh!

Well let me sum it up by saying it was fabulous. So much so I'm going back in February/09 for another 2-week camping adventure. Definitely 5-star camping in paradise.
