Maggy, We went to STJ last November and it was a bit different then in April/May/June when we always went before. The bars and eateries are opening back up. It is still kind of slow. I found it to be a happy time with the service people, as they are starting to make money from tips again. All of the vegetation was very lush. Bugs seemed to be a non-factor, except in the late afternoon and early evening. The water was warm. We had great weather. It beat the hell out of being here in Maryland, though November is pretty good here, too. If you chose STJ rather then the BVI's, would you be inclined to stay in Cruz Bay or in Coral Bay again? Didn't you rent through Billy last time?

Thank you JT for telling me about your November experience.
I'm not sure if want to stay in Coral Bay area or Cruz Bay area. If I end up going by myself, the most important is that I feel safe. I would not chose a remote cottage or something. Maybe a small guest suite in a private home or a small apartment would be fine. But I'm going to try to persuade my husband to come with me (I have to learn how to be nice

)
At the moment we are planning a week in Scotland in July. He seems more interested in that, for some reason. Could it be the whiskey destilleries?
Last time we stayed in Coral Bay here:
http://www.vrbo.com/79945 It was really good and affordable. Unfortunately I don't know who Billy is, as you refer to.
