kirk, I am definitely not a chef in real life. That is a whole other skill set that I would never be able to obtain. I like to cook as a hobby, that's all.
vicki..

...noooo....
Maggy, thanks for pointing out the porkfish, that is really cool. I didn’t catch it. Now I have another fish I can check off!
Nancy, I am the worst person to ask about photos. There are other people on this forum who have a lot more skill and knowledge than me. The thing that helped my underwater photos this year is photoshop. A couple of forum folks were kind enough to send me some tips that made learning basic usage easier (thanks California Girl and Jerseyboy!) It’s amazing what a difference even just using the auto-correct feature makes.
Anyway, I had two cameras on the trip, for the first five days it was a canon powershot A620, with its housing. After I killed that camera I got a canon powershot SD800 IS with underwater housing. The underwater housing came with a diffusion filter which I just popped on in the beginning and left there, so I honestly don’t know how much it helped. See, I told you I have no idea!
Again, thanks everyone for your nice comments.

So enjoying your reports and pictures! I had to chuckle when I read Kirk's post asking if you were a Chef...cuz I was wondering the very same thing! I also took some pics of some of the villa meals I prepared on our trip, but I think I will be passing on posting them in my reports!
You are capturing both the underwater and above water essense of St. John so well...great job!!!

I am LOVING your trip reports! It's all wonderful; the pics, the reviews, the villas, BUT the FOOD is to die for!! You can cook and I bet you love it too.
I love that little fish at Trunk.
Last year I had one at Maho that followed me for about 30 minutes, until I got out of the water..........they are so cute!
On to the next installment!
