We have 3yr old twins and we are so thankful to our grandparents who are brave enough to watch our little "angels" for a week so we can get a much needed vacation!

We hope to bring them along in a few years when they are older.

Well, it looks as if we are indeed joining the August crowd after all. Yippee! I'm still in shock over the whirlwind decision and planning.

2FarNorth-Congrats on the baby. That's one of the reasons we decided to go again so soon. We want to start thinking about kids and I want one more trip where we don't have to even think about a child.

Teresa Rae-We've joked that we've put off kids due to too much traveling too, but that clock is starting to tick louder!

If a beach bar gathering is planned we'll likely try to attend!

Nick........Glad you could work out a trip. When are your travel dates? I think the Beach Bar does quite well off this forum.

Pick the date and time and the wife and I will be there for sure. Maybe the other 8 of my group also.

I'll be there with my husband between the 15th and the 25th...so maybe...

I arrive on the 7th with my college girls. Maybe that night we could meet up with some of you guys. We're game for more than once.

BTW....Hubby will be home protecting the casa with a shotgun for any of you bad guys out there.

7th works for us along with the 8th. If your sure you want to after your day of travel. *L* Our first night on the island is recovery from the flight and the day of crazy. But, then we never make it to the island till 5:30. We are normally done with the beaches by 3:30 so we can meet early or late.
Or meet early and stay late:D

BTW my house will be watched by my NRA card carrying brother while I am gone!

We arrive around 3:15, so I'm sure the girls will be ready to hit the bars. We're staying in town (not telling where) so it's very convenient.

I'm planning on a little Lunesta for the plane.
It may not be a late night, but I'm sure we'll be out and around.

We'll put the 7th down and hopefully that'll work for our crew. We need to see if we are going to be able to do a daysail/dive and what dates are available for those. Would love to meet some more forumites!

Hey August traveling Forumites! I've been crazy busy the last several weeks and had missed this posting. We met Bilter in Wisconsin when we traveled up for a HS graduation. He shared with us that a gathering was being planned. So exciting! Bryon and I will be married on Hawsksnest Beach on August 3rd, so we'll be old married folk by the 7th!!!! (OK, already old, but just married!) Count us in - can't wait to say hello to everyone and share a few beverages.

Congrats on your upcoming wedding August 3rd! We will be there too celebrating our 20th anniversary on August 8th along with our parents celebrating their 51st anniversary August 3rd!! Magical!
We will be thinking of you on your special day and hope to bump into each other on the beach or beach bar Aug. 7th!!!

To everyone celebrating their wedding or an anniversary--have a wonderful time. I hope to see some of you on the island. We are coming with our children and grandchildren to celebrate our 50th. We will be on St. John 6-14 August. SRT

Thanks so much, msgcolleen and SRT! We are so excited. Bryon and I will have our 3 adult children and one year old grandson with us for part of the trip.

We will all be at the beach bar on 8/2 for our "wedding eve" party. Hope to see you there! Of course, we'll be there on 8/7 for the forum gathering as well.
