Cap is indeed a spectacular spot, and definitely one of my favs, and Anguilla has a multitude of wonderful beaches. However, it is not a pretty lush-tropical setting like the VI's. It also has numerous wonderful dining spots but not much more to do than beach and eat - altho golfers, I hear, have the Temenos course which is a St. Regis property - haven't seen it or been there - but it on the site of the old Rendezvous Bay resort on a wonderful beach too and supposedly breath-taking. So as not to get too far off the USVI topic, you could check out the Anguilla Forum for more info.
BTW, I was told that Biras does now have phones in the rooms.

I looked on the cap website and there weren't too many pictures of the rooms. Does anyone know where to find more? Anyone have the link to the anguilla forum?
All these places sound wonderful; I'm just happy (deleriously so) to be going to St john for the first time in November (yeah!). Won't be watching tv or phoning home unless absolutely necessary.
I will check out Biras too. Thanks for the tips!

There was a phone in our room at Biras, but no TV. I did use the internet connection in the office to check in with my parents but that was it.
After breakfast we would head to the Arawak room and watch the local (satellite from NY) news on the big screen, but we never missed watching TV.
Some folks that we met on our trip brought a portable DVD player and watched movies at night, but I could not be bothered.
I highly recommend Biras. We have traveled pretty extensively and this was by far the best vacation we ever had.

NatureGirl, go to Cap JUluca website and to the left click on photo tour. Then look on the right and click on rooms and bathrooms. They show the luxury siute, junior siute and the villa pool suite which i was lucky enough to stay in.
Just one more thing about Anguilla, yes anguilla is a flat island not lush but on the up side there are very few mosquitto's. I have never gotten bit there. They get very little rain compared to the lusher islands so less bugs.
