Great pics. Especially the ones with your husband wearing the Tiger baseball cap (purple and gold forever). Please keep the reports coming. Unfortunately, we will not be on St. Thomas until the end of August.

I'm sitting at my desk at work and laughing my A$$ off!! The posing thing is hilarious!! What are people thinking? The other day I got an e-mail form an old co-wroker who just got married in Hawaii and they have all these crazy JC Penny model poses in them. I even sent them to Flip FLop. She had no words. I still cannot believe people are so nuts! It's nice to know that we can make fun of them though... touching the towel to the face... STILL laughing... Flip Flop and I have our bi-weekly pedicure appt. tonight and I'm sure we'll both be laughing about this one

mdxter,
Thought you'd like this pic, too. Lost this hat in the water off of the boat near Jost. One of faves!
Grommit and Flip-Flop, You get me! In this picture I'm trying to talk Wontongirl into the "touch the towel to your face" pose. She resisted. We have some normal pictures, too. You may want to consider having a "Crazy JC Penney Catalog Posing Day" on your next trip!

I don't understand the JC Penny thing...but, that's okay. What I really want to know is what's up with the mongoose? Why is he/she in a cage with a crab? Did anyone let him/her out? I don't get it...'splain.

No one told me why the mongoose and the crab were in the cage together, (and I did ask) but I had never seen a mongoose before up close (looked like a squirrel to me). What was happening may have been an inhumane sporting event.
The JCPenney comment is referring to the posing people do on the beach for pictures. The JCPenney catalog used to have some really cheesy poses.

Was it ocean faves or faves of mixed drinks that caused you to loose your cool cap? Of all the pictures i have seen from your posts, this has to be my favorite.
I am so envious of you guys having so much fun and frivolities. Our next trip in Sept. is with our 2 year old and hopefully expected wife so not much drinking for me.

Is that like the Jerry McGuire "you complete me"?
I hope so anyway!!!

mdxter,
Ya'll will still have so much fun. I'd love to take our daughter (17 months old) sometime. Maybe in a year of two.
I lost my favorite LSU hat! We drank painkillers and beer most of the day.
My husband (he went to LSU) is such a good sport! He let me talk him into the "seductive crawl onto the beach" pose. It's difficult to master if you have a beverage in your hand and the water is too deep.

BTW for any newbies, I HIGHLY recommend a hat clip here's a photo on Amazon.com but you can find them at just about any sporting goods store. These have saved my ballcaps on many an occasion while boating.

Gromit,
I just checked the site. Dang, it isn't available! I'll check eBay. Did you clip it to your swimsuit strap?

by Gromit
Generally to the neck of my t-shirt or the swimsuit strap works in a pinch. It's basically a 6 inch peice of thin rope with jaw clips at either end (with some hold). You clip one end to the back of your cap and the other end to the back of your t-shirt or anything on your body it will reach comfortably. They sell them at Low Key Watersports or most any dive shop -- usually by the cash register. You'll ususally find them with the floaty straps for your sun glasses and the slap straps for masks. They're only a couple of bucks but well worth it to keep from losing your favorite cap --which these days can cost upward of $28 bucks!

Okay...I thought it was just when we were there that there were people posing for pictures on Trunk Beach. We saw tons of that! Too funny.
Fun trip report.
