Have a great time! This cold dreary Maine Weather will not be missed when we vaca in St.John next week!
We just got back from a long weekend in Xcaret. Just want to "warn" you about a couple of things. From the time we got off the aircraft until we got to our private transport, it took us an hour and 1/2! Yikes - I don't remember it being that bad the last time we went a few years ago. Just be prepared - the lines for immigration were huge - don't go for the middle one if you can; the lines on the sides moved much quicker. There was even a line to get out of the airport once we got our bags. That one moved a bit quicker but was still huge!
I suggest you arrange transportation from the airport ahead of time. You won't need a car but you will need a way to get to the ferry. Best to arrange ahead of time so you can ignore all the people trying to get your attention inside the airport. Just head outside and look for your transport company/your name. If you can afford it, private is the way to go. No matter what, have fun!!
