Sorry sea-nile, I forgot to answer this. That's an excellent question and I was very curious myself about how it would work out... if I'd leave the case on or not. The answer is "not". I usually put my camera in the case just before I used it undewater. You have to be very careful not to get sand or anything in it, so I usually did it in the car before we dragged all our junk out. Then, because there were always water droplets on the lens when I came out of the water, I'd usually take it out of the case, close the case up again, and take my "above water" pictures without the case on. When I get my pictures all posted you'll see some where the case fogged on the left side. It wasn't too bad, but it's a little annoying to look at. I think it happened because the camera was too cold when I put it in the case and it just caused condensation when it warmed up in the sun.sea-nile wrote:Also, did you leave your waterproof case on all of the time or just use it for the underwater pictures?

I have to say I'm completely impressed by the Canon underwater cases, their ease of use, and the quality of the photos I got with NO UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE on my part. Besides the bug zapper, easily the best investment I made for our trip!
