Thanks Leslie! Love both, especially Casa Bueno, but both villas are unfortunately way over ($800-1000 more per week) than our budget.

I thought $400 per night would be enough to get a nice villa, but maybe I haven't found it yet.

Have anyone stayed at Bayhouse or Fun and Contentment?

On Mamey Peak Apito or Bay Rum Breeze (BRB is my favorite of the two). Another possibility is Summerwind on Bordeaux Mtn just a bit down the road from Bordeaux Mtn Restaurant.

Sorry sweetie I didn't look at your budget! Mill ridge has two bedrooms and we liked it a lot. I think it might be in your price!

That's a nice villa. I save it to my list. They have their low season rates starting May 1st and high season rates would be too high, but you could always ask. Easter is late next year, so it might be hard.

Hi gal!
Check out this link to Palm Villa:

http://www.caribbeanvilla.com/property/palm-villa/

We have stayed there twice and really liked it. It has the best view of any of the villas we've stayed at. The main living area is in one building with kitchen, living area, office area, full bath, and a loft with 2 twin beds (which is too hot to sleep in). There is a deck/walkway to the Master Bedroom suite. It has it's own AC sitting area, king bed, and lovely bathroom. On the opposite end of the villa located in it's own building off the pool deck are 2 queen AC bedroom each with their own bathrooms. Plus the Master Bedroom is a great escape if you want to get away;

It's bit over your budget, but at least your friends can have their own rooms.

Happy Planning!
Jan
P.S. It's your turn ;);)

Check Destination St. John. Looks like their off season rates start mid-April so these should work for your budget range. Also we found Destination St. John to be great with working with us for better rates (when we booked with them for this summer), so doesn't hurt to ask. Look at A Winsome House, Alta Vista, Coconut Breeze...to name a few:
http://www.destinationstjohn.com/rates. ... ember=true

Also, this one on the Catered To website -- Esprit:
http://www.cateredto.com/esprit/

And also Mayan Sky with Viva Vacations:
http://www.vivacations.com/site/Propert ... ageID=5751

One more we saw on Flipkey and VRBO -- Almost Heaven: http://www.flipkey.com/coral-bay-vacati ... s/p381739/

And finally...Bo Atabey. Really like this one, but did confirm with the owner there is no AC: http://www.boatabeystjohn.com/BoAtabeyRates.ivnu

Some of these may be a little higher than your budget, but again, may be worth asking for a little lower rate, especially if you're booking this far out and if it's for low season.

Anyway, just some suggestions of a few villas. We spent countless hours researching villas for our first trip and seriously considered staying in the Coral Bay area....but ultimately decided to stay closer to Cruz Bay. Hope to have the chance to visit again and perhaps try out the Coral Bay side next time around. :-) Enjoy your trip....Hope this helps!

No, Maggy, we've not stayed at any of these.
Chudali also looks nice, and your friends wouldn't have to share a room: http://www.bookitvi.com/chudali.html

Thanks, will check them out too :). I never thought it would be this hard to find the right villa. I was dreaming about villas last night, lol. I might step back for a while and take another look again in a couple of days.

I really appreciate all suggestions.

Maggy,

Alta Vista might be worth a look, $2875 for 3-4. Has a pool and hot tub, 3 modules, with master bdrm in the main one off the kitchen area, and a bdrm each in the other two. Pretty nice overall. Not far from Centerline road turning at Chateau Bordeaux, paved road to the villa. Main living area (large) is upstairs in the center unit via outside stairs. A lot of covered area outside as well as area to sun. Good views over Coral Bay and to the BVIs. A/C and wifi.

We stayed there in Nov. The upstairs living area with outside access only seemed a bit funky but had good views from the balconies. I think Iprof probably posted a trip review.

Viewtiful only has a/C in one of the bedrooms and you enter/ exit the small pool via a ladder on the side. Unusual and not workable if anyone has mobility issues.

Thanks everyone! My head is spinning by all villa searching :). But so far, not decided anything.

CBama, great review of Fun and Contentment. Looks good. Might be the one in the lead so far. Anyone else stayed there?

UF Prof, thanks for the suggestion. And how fun, going to VG. Exactly what we'll do to next time, split the time between those two islands.

Yes, Knolmom, I noticed that. Kind of unusual. ยจ

I'll keep on looking until I find the right one.
