So sorry to hear. The exact same thing happened to me at Christmas. I had arrived in STJ and a few days later, my Mom got very sick. She passed before I got the chance to see her. However, we did speak briefly on the phone and I feel fortunate for that. Left STJ only a few days after arrival. God bless you and may time help ease your pain.

Between selling our house, packing for the move, and starting to clean out my mom's house, I finally got all the required documentation together and mailed off my CSA travel insurance claim. I will keep you updated on the outcome. US Air charged us $716 to change our flight. I would have paid twice that to be there with her when she passed away.
